August last year, I remember being in my tent at Reading Festival where I was working as a photographer – desperately trying to get a smidgen of 3G so that I could buy Friends Fest tickets for £5 at Brick Lane. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful.
Fast forward exactly a year when more tickets were released for a bigger event that was to tour the UK! Perfect. Slight problem – I needed to save as much money as I could, especially since the tickets this year were 5 times more expensive than last years. A few weeks later, I secured a new job, got a text from my fab friend Grace, she had a spare ticket! IT WAS MINE!
We were soooo excited There were 6 of us going and we were all Friends fanatics! All mad enthusiasts of the best TV show ever broadcast.

24th September, Knebworth House
The first stop was Monica’s apartment! We had a time slot so it meant it wasn’t rammed as it was one of the most exciting parts! It was still pretty busy though, which meant being rushed for photos, getting in the way of other people’s photos and vice versa.

After our visit at number 20, we popped across the hallway to Joey and Chandler’s!

Time for a coffee at Central Perk!

There was so much going on at Knebworth House, with various entertainment on the stage, open mic karaoke in Central Perk, a silent disco and even the opportunity to recreate Ross and Rachel’s infamous wedding. This was taking it to the Friends fanatic extreme but it was a laugh!

Considering it’s nearing the end of September, we had perfect weather for it! It was such a lovely day, which meant we could all enjoy an outdoor lunch form Monica’s Moondance Diner and coffee in Central Perk style cups. You could even enjoy a ‘mockolate’ crepe!
All in all, we had a great day! Mainly because we are lovers of the show, have a great sense of humour and were out to have a good time. Some factors of the event did seem very amateur, but it was all in good spirit and it kept us laughing!
